Overview
Designed the status and notification experience for Kissflow's data backup service. Super admins now see real-time backup status (started, in progress, completed, canceled) with email and in-app alerts at key milestones.
Approach
Interviewed super admins managing compliance audits to identify visibility gaps. Introduced status stages mirroring the backup lifecycle and layered notifications so admins don't have to monitor the UI actively. Added detailed backup history logs for audit trails.
Outcome
Improved backup oversight for compliance tracking. Reduced admin burden by notifying at key milestones instead of requiring manual status checks.
